Another great hunt with Chris Roe and Roe Hunting Resources!!! With his son, Ty, having killed a bird, it was Steve Fernandez's turn to hunt on the opening day of the 2016 archery turkey season. Chris had scouted these birds the week prior, and had a blind already set up adjacent to where he knew the birds typically flew out, and where they usually went when the wind started to blow – exactly what was forecast for this particular morning. Although everything worked as planned, it didn't happen without a calling battle between Chris, and the hens the gobblers were temporarily distracted with. After that battle, however, Steve made a great shot on an aggressive three-year old Kansas river bottom Rio!!!
